Website Types

These examples are meant to help you decide on the type of website you might be considering.  You can modify the requirements to suit your needs.  Cost will vary according to the options you choose.  Domain renewal fee and site registration fee will vary according to the domain type chosen. Currently, for initial registration fees, most domain names are $35 per year.  Discounts are generally offered for multi-year registrations/renewals. Useful info when comparing with other hosting/web design companies:

  1. Sirius Programming does the design work for you based on your requirements.  You don't have to go buy the software tools needed to create/edit websites, create/edit graphics, design a database or any of the other specialized features that Sirius Programming provides.
  2. Sirius Programming does the maintenance of your site.  You just send the info via email.  Typical response time is within a day or two, but most work is done on weekends.
  3. Certain new features have been offered in the past to existing customers at reduced rates.
  4. Sirius Programming will never show advertising to your customers unless you want it there.

Advertising Site Package

A single page for those businesses that  want to advertise on the Internet and just provide a brief description of their services and contact information.  Ideal for starter businesses and those whose budgets are limited.  Can also be used to just secure your domain name so know one else can use it.  You can always expand it at any time. Your site would start off with, but is not limited to, the following page:

  1. Homepage - Welcome page that generally shows a picture of the business or a logo, contact information and a brief statement of about your business.

Typical businesses for this type of site:

Information Site Package

A business that isn't selling items on the Internet, but might be offering information about it's services or products to it's customers.  Your site can consist of, but is not limited to, the following page types:

  1. Homepage - Welcome page that generally shows a picture of the business or a logo, contact information and a brief statement of about your business.
  2. Hours/Directions Page - how to find your business and the hours of operation.
  3. Product/Service #1 Page - may include pictures of the product or an example of the type of service. 
  4. Product/Service #2 Page - may include pictures of the product or an example of the type of service. 

Additional features included: Email AutoResponder & .PDF documents (3), two hours of custom graphics work for buttons and background.

The Email autoresponder will send one or more documents in response to an email.  This is used for product/service brochures, information request forms, etc.

Non-Profit Organization Site Package

Similar to an Information Site, the added features make this package suited for use by Non-Profit Organizations.  Your site can consist of, but is not limited to, the following page types:

  1. Homepage - Welcome page that generally shows a picture or a logo, contact information and a brief statement of about your organization.
  2. Mission statement page - describes the purpose of your organization with more detail than the brief on the homepage.
  3. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page - post questions and answers that are asked about your organization.
  4. Supporters Page - List those who have supported your organization and information to visitors on how they can support also.
  5. Newsletter Page - Post a monthly/quarterly newsletter about your organization.  Page includes subscribe/unsubscribe feature.

Additional features included: Email AutoResponder & Email listserver, two hours of custom graphics work for buttons and background.

The Email autoresponder will send one or more documents in response to an email.  This is used for informational brochures, donation request forms, etc.  The Email listserver will allow for visitors to subscribe/unsubscribe to your newsletter via email.  Notifications are sent out to inform subscribers that a new newsletter has been posted on the site.

Membership-Based Organization Site Package

The added features make this package suited for use by membership-based organization and groups.  Your site can consist of, but is not limited to, the following page types:

  1. Homepage - Welcome page that generally shows a picture or a logo, contact information and a brief statement of about your organization.
  2. Benefits Page - describes the benefits your organization provides to its members.
  3. Discussion Forum - members only or general public can post questions/answers.
  4. Guestbook Page - used for general comments from anyone.  Can be configured to be public or via email to organization contact.
  5. Officers Page - List your officers and how to contact them.
  6. Newsletter Page - Post a monthly/quarterly newsletter about your organization.  Page includes unsubscribe feature only.
  7. Calendar Page - post events for the group.
  8. Issues Page - put your current issues and topics here.
  9. Bylaws Page - post your organization's bylaws.
  10. Membership List - database driven list of members with embedded email links.

Additional features included: Email listserver,  two hours of custom graphics work for buttons and background.

The Email listserver is limited to your membership and can be used for newsletters and member-to-all-members email notifications.

Add-on for online membership fee acceptance:

Adding the ability to accept credit cards for membership renewals enhances your site to benefit your members.  The example pricing for this assumes that:

bulletYou already have a merchant account and enter your card info manually.  (Online processing will cost extra.)
bulletYou have up to 10 "products" which consist of membership renewals, special funds, seminars, etc. that are updated by Sirius Programming.

This feature can be added to an existing site or during the initial design of a new site.

E-Commerce Site Package

The features for the package are designed for customers who require an online store to sell their products. Your site can consist of, but is not limited to, the following page types:

  1. Homepage - Welcome page where the customer can start viewing your products.
  2. Contact Page - Page where customers can reach you or your customer service.
  3. Policy Page - Page used to inform your customers of your store policy, return policy, etc.
  4. Other Pages as part of the Shopping Cart which include:

  5. Merchant Pages - These pages are password protected so the merchant can edit products, view sales, process orders, etc.
